Here is my project:

"It's A Girl Thing"

I used "Desert Moon Turquoise" and "Cosmic Pink Blue" embossing powders on my title and sprayed "Bodacious Blush" Startbust on hot powders:

I first painted my background with Gesso, then sprayed "Bodacious Blush" Startbust,  I then used "Moroccan 6x6" as a mask with texture paste, painted the raised areas with "Gag Me With A Spoon Grey" Starbust, and also sprayed chipboard with the same colour:

Here a tiny cog sprayed with "Gag Me With A Spoon Grey" Starbust and flourish coated in
"Cosmic Pink Blue" embossing powder:

Scrap Friends Sketch #21

Back again!

One more challenge for me this month! That's the only other one I managed to complete before going back to work tomorrow. Well, the sketches at Scrap Friends always blow me away!!! And I love their design team too! After so many months of admiring their blog I finally gave their sketch challenge a go!
I went completely and utterly out of my comfort zone! Design wise and colour wise!
Here is the sketch to follow, all details are here

Here is my take:

REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION

I really loved the frames in the sketch so I went from there. I constructed my background with Gesso, tissue paper, stampings + glimmer splatters.
I used a "beach" border at the bottom of my photo cluster made of collected seashells, Imaginarium cogs, bandage and plumber tape all glued together with Gel Medium and finally painted with Gesso.

The orange frames across the layout are white cardstock covered with texture paste through a mask and then sprayed with orange paint (October Afternoon):

I used a wooden anchor to tie the beach theme, used Green Tara blooms to compliment the design:

The title was covered in black crackle paint for extra texture:

GREEN TARA PRODUCTS USED:
- WILD ROSE
- HEIRLOOM SILK AND ORGANZA FLOWER 4CM AND 6.5CM

IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS PRODUCTS USED:
- TINY COGS
- COGS
- FRAME
- CIRCLE BORDER
- DARLING BOY TITLE

I will be back soon with lots of DT projects!

Thanks for taking the time to check out my entry!

Happy Scrapping!

SATW January 14 Challenge!

Yes! I did it I got some time this week to enter a few challenges, it hasn't happened in a long long time!
One of my favourite ones (that I have been following in the background...)is Scrap Around The World!!!
You can find all the details here.
They have a super duper challenge this month and with all my beach photos taken on holidays I HAD to give it a go!

Here are the prompts:

My Inspiration: I drew it from the picture of the ligthouse: I used the navy blue found in the lighthouse and bicycle. I sprinkled sand as well as in the photo. I also used the photo of the white flower bouquet!
So in love with this concept!

So here is my layout (I know very different to the other entries):

"Happiness is being on the beach"

Here is a closie of the big anchor I found at Spotlight and Imaginarium tiny peacock feather, some Green Tara "apple blossoms" and gardenia", the anchor was covered with white and blue skeleton ribbon for some beachy texture:

Another closie of shells, flowers, button and sea star:

More yumminess, I added some bits of printer tissue paper in the wet gesso:

Some Imaginarium goodness: clock face coloured with white neo colour crayon, also some recycled packaging (to imitate fish nets) in the back of my photos:
