Last creation for Meg's Garden...

This is my last creation for Meg's Garden, unfortunately life has become a little too busy, I need to have a little break from commitments...Sickness has been keeping me busy and getting my family back on feet is far more important to me than scrapbooking.

I am sharing something a little different than usual, a little grungier. I really wanted to enhance those beautiful Vintage papers "Elements" so I chose to marry them with Kraft and black cardstock.

I loved those papers, they have that beautiful aged look, and the text is in French :)
I created my usual banner, I hope I don't bore you with the same over and over...
I added a few flowers and chipboard cogs.

La Vie En Rose...

Hello to you!

I have 2 layouts to share today!

I will start with a layout about me, I have to say that I never have scrapped about myself so it is a little different! The Vintage Garden Papers by Pion Design are so so beautiful, it is such an honour to guest design for them! I used some of the new release chipboards by Imaginarium!!! Love those chevrons!!! They are so cool!!! All the chipboard got a coat of white gel pen.

"Moment In Time"

  Lovely Fern...

The very cool new release Chevrons!
Some gorgeous leaves with a little bling

My second layout is about my daughter in the park with her brother pushing her on the swing, if there is one thing I enjoy it is watching them play together, love the sound of them giggling together, nothing makes me happier hence the title "Precious Moments".

"Precious Moments"

Precious Moments Title was painted with cream paint

Some buttons, covered in paper and some thread, also used lots of die cuts from the gorgeous papers! I emptied a seed packet and used it as my photo frame.

A painted frame in the background to create dimension!

I used one tiny flourish cut in half and painted with cream paint, and used the paper to create rolled roses and rosettes!

A mini peacock that I used as a stamp: I covered my fearther with texture paste and stamped directly onto my background, very cool effect:

Welcome to the "Chime with Chipboard" Blog Hop

 Welcome to the
“Chime In With Chipboard”
Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from Scrapping Outback's blog
You are on the right track! You are now at Sandrine’s blog!

We are hopping from blog to blog to learn all about chipboard and to get inspired with awesome tutorials and layouts loaded with chippies!

So let's start with my tutorial:

DISTRESSED BACKGROUND

 Gather your supplies:
- 12X12 chipboard sheet
 - White Gesso
 - White Acrylic Paint
 - Coloured Acrylic Paint of your choice
 - Heatgun
 - Paint Roll
 - Baby Wipes
 - Cutting/Distressing Tool (Craft knife etc.)

Start by applying white gesso with paint roll all over chipboard sheet, let dry completely.
Apply one generous coat of white paint, let dry completely.
Apply third coat, contrasting colour this time. Dry using a heatgun, STOP when paint is not quite dry
 but has lost its shine.

Take craft knife/distressing tool and scratch off top coat randomly, it depends on the look you want to create, I scratched all paint in some areas.

Now take a baby wipe and remove top coat in some areas, you want to create an aged/worn background, use your creative intuition. You can't really go wrong here!

Repeat scratching and wiping until you are happy with the result.

One more tip: before starting, think of where your photo is going to be and really distress around that. You really want to see your beautiful background!

This is the layout I created with my background!

Imaginarium + Pion Design = Perfect Match

I am sharing a little album I created with a mix of Alma’s Sewing Room and Studio of Memories.
I so love designing mini albums! They are truly so much fun!

To assemble "case/shrine" you will need one "James Border" and Honeycombe negative hexagon bits x4.
I just noticed while looking through my chipboard that the extremeties of the border would become a sun if glued together! After a little thinking and designing I came up with a little holder and the idea for the mini album sitting in it came from that....
These are the measurements to create the shrine:
Back: (sun): 87mm
Sides: 90mm (both)
Front: 87mm
Bottom: 88mm x 91mm

Those 2 paper collections work beautifully together! And I used the neutral tones with a splash of blue for a mini about my little boy! The whole project was designed by me and is entirely made of chipboard.
I covered the holder with white spray paint, as the design is so intricate and I wanted a clean finish, a little hard to obtain with a paint brush. I added a little banner to it for extra detail!

For the mini album, I cut 5 squares measuring 75mm x 75mm each in a 12x12 sheet of chipboard. It is smaller than the shrine but I had to allow for things sticking out!
I used kraft tape to assemble the pages 2 by 2 and covered the spine with masking tape. To hide the tapes each page was then covered with paper, it's as easy as that!

It's June and challenge time!

Hello!

I can't believe it's June already!!! Oh my! We have something a little different this month at Scrapping Outback, a scraplift challenge! The gorgeous Trudi Harrison picked one of her fantastic layouts for us to scraplift. I did find it a challenge as Trudi's style is so unique, but I did manage to use some design ideas on my page, and I like what I created! I used brand new collection by Pion Design "Vintage Garden" and the blue and neutral tones in it. As June Guest Designer for them this month I had to produce 3 projects for them, and I think I will have more than that because I just completely fell in love with those papers and can't stop creating! And of course I used lots of Imaginarium Designs chipboard as well!

"Remember"

The first idea I pinched from Trudi was the masked/texture paster background, I used Prima Brickwall mask:

The second one was the crackle on the chipboard, all the chipboard pieces were given a little coat of Gesso and then a good smear of Viva crackle paint in white:

The third one was the flower overload (I did enjoy that part!!!), all the flowers are Prima and available from Scrapping Outback, they all got the Gesso treatment as well:

The fourth one is the "sketch" even though it is slightly different you can find some similarities...You will see a tag at the bottom as well as a banner and my title:
