Chick Magnet...

Morning all!

Have lots of projects on the go at the moment...I have one to share today, it is one I created for White With One, the challenge is to use white with yellow and stars. We got 3 chicks 2 weeks ago, they weren't yellow when we got them but I thought that the challenge would be perfect for photos of DS posing with a chick, too funny!
I experienced with different papers here again, this time I played with white tissue paper for my main background and inked paper towel from the kitchen, I was inspired by an article in the latest Somerset Workshop magazine! Here are the photos:

The chicken is from Twiddlybitz, and is so cute! I sprayed the raw piece with water and separated the layers at the tail and on the head to make it fluffy, I then added a couple of coats of white gesso.
There is a couple of white tags on the layout, I circled the hole with a piece of rolled paper towel!

Here is a close of the background and title, you can also see a home made mini peg covered with paper holding a stamped word!

Here a closie of my home made star (made with a template) to create those beautiful textured stars I took a sheet of paper towel and inked with "Scattered Straw" distress ink then sprayed with water to spread the colour over the piece of paper towel. I then cut a star out of scrap paper and glued tissue star over it.
Another detail is the flower centre made of rolled yellow twine :) I also made little stars with 3 staples.
There are plenty of punched circles around the page as per usual :D and a hand stitched border
Material list:
Papers: Prima, Pink Paislee, Kaisercraft, Fancy Pants
Flowers: Manor House Creations, Prima (Got Flowers)
Pink Paislee Portfolio Stamps, stars
Distress ink and pen in Scattered Straw
Gauze, buttons, pins, brads, pearls, twine.
Now I am in the process of making vintage Xmas card for the Fatcats Booth at the Adelaide Paper Show next month. Will be back soon with pictures.
One last thing, go and leave a comment here for your chance to win a gorgeous pack of Meg Garden's Papers!!! Well worth the effort if you ask me!!!

Tissue please!

Hi!

Why would I need tissue? Well this week-end was a creative week-end for me! I had some fun!
When baby Amelie was born I kept everything that was given to me for her, everything including wrapping paper, one of the gift I received was wrapped in bright pink tissue paper (it was a cute little dress from France), I knew that one day I would get to use it for something! Anyway...I took the cutest photo of DD and I just got new Zephyr papers from Scrapping Outback and also some blooms, I was dying to create, I just love Prima lately! After reading one of the new Somerset mags I felt very inspired to do something a little different, with tissue paper! Here is what I created:

What I did with the tissue paper was I glued one big scrunched up piece for the background and then gave it a coat of gesso. I made some rolled up roses with it as well, covered with gesso to mute the bright colour, lastly I glued a piece on some scrap cardstock and die cut shapes out of it, I then covered with one coat of Picket Fence Distress Stain for a different effect :)

I made a little piggy tail out of blue twine for fun!
Prima paper available here
Prima flowers available here
Prima velvet baubles sold out
Banner and branch dies are available from Fatcats

And go and check out my big news here!

Another Scrapping Outback layout...

Hello!
Another day, another layout to share...And yes it is another girly layout! Rachelle has got the most gorgeous Online DT kit this month (designed by Tina Connolly :)) and I had to buy it I just love the colours and it has lots of Prima Rondelle products in it, it even has a mini stamp set! Tina got 3 layouts out of the kit! I am doing my own things with the kit adding extra products but still it is great value for money!

Below is a closie of the top rip, I stamped 2 little branches and cut them out (from the Prima stamp set in the kit) and glued them over some lace and gauze, I also added a little Prima flower with a rhinestone.

The chipboard flourish "Birds on a Branch" is from Dusty Attic and available here at SO. The effect was created with a couple of coats of Picket Fence Distress Stain and then some liquid snow, I love the fluffy glossy effect it gives this beautiful piece of chipboard.

Here is a closie of my title, I used the mini stamp set for this, I stamped the cute little frame on some scrap of white cardstock (I cut the white bazzill for the background, the leftover strips were just perfect for stamping :)) with black/silvery ink pad and then added some Kaisercraft alphabet sticker inside it, I then used my gorgeous Rondelle peg to hold the frame, that peg was then glued onto Manor House bloom! Voila!

I am in the middle of a brain storm, this layout came together so fast, I will be back soon with more layouts, and maybe a mini album...I haven't made one for so long...will see...
Until then happy scrapping!!!

New Authentique Papers...

Good morning,

Scrapping Outback has new papers in stock, and I thought I would share a layout using new Authentique Collection "Enchanted", it has beautiful vintage colours of cream, black and orange, that was perfect for a picture of DS taken on a daytrip around the countryside a couple of weeks ago.

There are lots of little details, first one is a mini canvas collage:

It is made of one card (cut out of Authentique paper, so so cute those little cards, I have cut lots of them and are randomly glued down around my layout), a Prima leaf (available here it is part of Zephyr Collection flowers and leaves), from my stash a big orange brad, a prima light bulb and resin flower (cut off an old vine), a bit of rope, a paper clip, and a bit of chickenwire! This layout weighs a ton and is full of volume and textures.
Here are a few more closies:

There is a fair bit of recycling in this layout as well as lots of inking and distressing, those papers are so gorgeous it was just pure fun to create this layout! The chipboard title "Adore" is from Dusty Attic and is part of a word set, for the fun effect I heat embossed distress powder + distress stickles together.
I am working on more layouts for SO using new Prima papers!!! I will be back to share soon.
Thanks for coming!
