You Tug At My Heart Strings

Morning all,

Another layout for me to share with you! Using more Prima Romance Novel but this time I concentrated on the pinks and beiges in the papers, a very different effect! I added some Purple Pumpkin tickets and wooden buttons for something different, the title is available at Scrapping Outback and is Rachelle Minnett's Design Chipboard, just beautiful! It is available here. I only inked it lightly, it is gorgeous as it is!

I also played with Prima Mask, just used lightly in the background with distress ink pad and foam dauber. For the Purple Pumkin buttons I sanded them and applied a light coat of Gesso to keep with the colour scheme! I also used some Plumber's tape here and there.
It is bye for now until my next completed project! Thank you for passing by!

Inspire me...she just does that!

Good morning all,

I have another layout to share! And it is shabby! And it is a photo I have already scrapped but well I like that photo a lot. And I am using Romance Novel Collection again, this time I have mixed some girly flowers and trims. Everything on this layout has been distressed, aged, inked to give it this beautiful feel.
I have used some gorgeous Scrapping Outback products, the new WOW cog mask and some WOW branches.

The effect I created on this chipboard branch was done using Julie Hill's September Chipboard Tutorial, how gorgeous does it look? Pretty clever!
I used a lot of different products too long to list them all but they are mainly old things I haven't used in a long time (bits of lace and leftover silk flowers, rope etc.)
I am enjoying shabby layered style at the moment, loving Prima and Ranger inks!
Here are links to Scrapping Outback products:

- WOW cog mask available here
Thank you for passing by! Hope you are having fun today!

Today I would like to share my last page for Show Us Your Stuff Challenge Blog.

The inspiration this month is a quote by Emilie Ahern:

"The world is filled with undiscovered wonders, come little one let's find them together"

Here is my layout using Sam's Eye Candy Magic products (button and doily):

I only used one word from the quote, the main inspiration was from the photo DH with DD exploring Mann River last Easter.
The papers are Pink Paislee Nantucket and the flower Manorhouse Creations of course! Chipboard pieces are available at Scrapping Outback.
I also used some Purple Pumpkin Wooden Heart buttons ;)

So please come and play with us at Show Us Your Stuff, there are fantastic prizes to be won, here are the sponsors:

Lime Tree Creations is donating Crochet Goodies

Artfield is donating a $20 gift voucher

Eye Candy Magic is donating some scrumptious goodies

Thanks for coming by and have a lovely Sunday!

I think I've gone grunge...

At long last we are having a beautiful warm day! I got so sick of the frosty mornings...And all this spring weather seems to be working for me as I feel inspired again...I have been having trouble with my scrapbooking, trying to find myself...wondering why I was not enjoying it as much as I used to. I have decided to go back to vintage scrapbooking, because it is me, and I feel so at ease when I am inking and aging papers and things! You will see what I mean with what I did for Sketches with a Twist Challenge, it is kind of dark but I think it is me. I am so in love with Prima Romance Novel papers...
Enough rambling, here is the sketch and the twist is you have to use embossing somewhere on your layout:

When I first saw the sketch I knew I would have to use cogs! And as I haven't scrapped DS for a while I decided to scrap a photo of him giving me the "enough photo" look! There are so many layers, it was a revelation I love this style soooooo much!

I used Hot Embossing on the clock (Antique Linen Distress Powder)

I used dry embossing on the cog (Sizzix Brick Wall) and on the letter S (Cuttlebug Texture Wood)

Scrapping Outback Products used are:
- WOW cogs
- WOW Fancy Clock
Other Products used are:
Prima Romance Novel 6X6 paper pad
Basic Grey Ledger Basics
Tim Holtz Tissue Tape and metal quote
Distress Inks, Pen and tool
Prima Distressing Tool
Kaisercraft Lace
Rope, Gauze, Prima flower

Scrapping Outback news!!!!

Hi everyone,

Scrapping Outback is changing... as of Sept (trial period at this stage), we will no longer be running the Sketch, white with a twist and random chippie challenges on our site - instead, we will offer a sponsorship prize to a challenge site each month and the details will be posted here in the forum and on FB, so I hope that you will continue to enter challenges through these. This month we are sponsoring Sketches With A Twist, I will be back with more details soon!
We will also be discontinuing the monthly DT kits but we will still have the monthly online class and kit with the full tutorial as this has been quite popular. The good news is......we are going to offer a new chippie technique or idea each month for you girls to try. Some of these might be old ideas to some of you, some might be new ideas, but hopefully, it will get everyone back into the chippie frame of mind and stepping outside the square a little too. The chippie technique will be posted in the forum, on FB and on the DT girls blogs - so you won't miss it. We would like you to try the technique and use it on a layout or BTP and post it here in the gallery or on our FB site to be in the running for a prize from us. The only criteria here - is it MUST be SO chippie used.
Julie Hill has a fabulous chipboard technique this month, here is a link to the forum.
As for me I have created an online class that I am sure you will love you will get complete instructions on how to recreate my layout, the colours are fantastic!

                                                              Here is my layout:

Here is the link to the online kit in the shop.
That's it for me today, will be back soon with more projects to share, thanks for coming!
